This morning the cinnamon rolls were calling my name. They aren't all homemade now or anything, just the pillsbury ones but man are they yummy!
So here I sit at mom's house. It's an overcast day, temps to get up to 81 at the highest. They say rain possible & cooler temps coming later. I'm frankly tired of the cold fronts & ready for Spring. I am seeing some signs. It seems like it's suddenly getting light earlier in the morning & it's getting darker a little later at night. Sure sign the time change is growing near again. :) Also as I was letting Snickers out this morning I noticed a mamma duck with her new baby ducklings sitting on the canal bank. How freakin' cute they were. I didn't have time to take pictures but I will later.
Speaking of the canal, we have some kittens & they decided they'd climb out on this bush after a bird the other day. I snapped some pictures of the scene. Kept waiting for the kittens to fall to the water below but never happened. In the pictures you will see the kittens looking up & the bird is what they were on the hunt after.
The birdy flew away & now the kitty cat had to come back down.
They are comical to watch.
Mom is seeming really weak since the end of last week. I'm worried about her. The nurse will be out today and we will see what she thinks. Yesterday she couldn't even change her shirt herself. It is heartbreaking to watch her like this. She is very shaky & looks like she's losing weight. Damn this SUCKS watching your parent grow old & fight cancer to win & then go downhill due to the side effects of the radiation. I find myself staying strong for the most part but sometimes when I look at her I have to turn and walk away & cry. That's just not my mom anymore & I fear I never will have my old mom back again. I walk around her house & sit on her porch & think of memories past and just think how realistically it will most likely never happen again like it once was. It just totally SUCKS!
I've been typing this blog for what seems like hours. lol Keep having to stop & do stuff. Anyways, talked with doctors office and they want to see mom at 2pm. So praying we can find out what's going on with her. Hoping it's something as simple as dehydration.
